Gael Clichy is no longer an Arsenal player as he completed his move to Manchester City for a reported £7million. The writing has been on the wall for a while now with regards to Clichy wanting to leave Arsenal. He has left and said god things about the club.
Gael said: “I have had eight fantastic years at Arsenal and made many friends. I have so many great memories from my time at Highbury and Emirates Stadium. I would like to say thank you to everyone at Arsenal for all of their support and friendship. I also want to send a big thank you to all the Arsenal supporters, who have always been so good to me.”
Now the search is on to find someone to take over from Clichy for this coming season. There are 4 players that we think would be suitable candidates.

Haha…i have to see who wenger brings in but with the loss of clichy fab and nasri will leave then walcot and van persie will be like its time up…then relegation 4 the first time

oh Gilbert, i understand your grief, but doesn’t relegation seem over reacting? By the way, wilshere and ramsey can replace cesc and nasri. walcott and van persie are just pure rumors my friend
To be frank & sincere,arsenal need 2 gud & very strong defenders with height not below 6.5ft.We also need 2 sharp strikers who can peneltrate a strong defence.They include:Osaze,gervinho,downning e.t.c. Let wenger act fast before it’s 2 late.
I beg let cesc go 2 any where he wants & nasri should not be sold 2 our rival & any price.

Gilbert you are one person who doesn’t know anything about Arsenal and football at Arsenal . Even if Cesc and Nasri leave Arsene Wenger will have the right replacements and at least those will want to play for Arsenal and are committed to the style of play Wenger wants to create .
If you think Arsenal is going to buckle the dream on Gilbert .You and the English press are like from one mother .You just cant appreciate a manager who knows better than other british managers or ex-england players .
Fabregas should be allowed to go for Christ sake, better replacements are there in the market if only the greedy board and the insensitive Wenger would be sincere with themselves. Nasri have made it clear that he’ll stay if only players of his quality are brought in which both the board and the choach are refusing to do.
