Arsenal set to land a new goalkeeper

Whilst Arsenal are crazy trying to sign a new central defender, we may forget that we still need to sign a goalkeeper to become our new number one or if Wenger is willing to give Wojcech Szczesny a crack at being the number one at Arsenal.

Arsenal are today being linked with an Italian goalkeeper according to The Sun.

Emiliano Viviano from Inter Milan has come up as an £8million target for Arsenal. Viviano is currently the number two at Inter behind Julio Cesar and he needs to be playing regular football as he is a very talented goalkeeper.

If Viviano is set to arrive at Arsenal that would mean Manuel Almunia would no longer be needed at Arsenal. Whether Wenger wants to sell Almunia first before he signs a new goalkeeper remains to be seen as I do not think there will be many people rushing to buy Almunia.

We have been able to find some video footage of Viviano courtesy of BonandinZuccheroXD as not many of us have heard of him before this speculation.
