Carlos Vela will remain at Arsenal this summer, according to his agent.
He told ESPN Radioformula in Mexico: “I have had eight conversations with Arsenal, the most recent was last Friday, and Carlos is an Arsenal player, he will stay at Arsenal and is not for sale.
“The process with Carlos is a little bit slow. Arsene Wenger is an extremely demanding coach. He sent him on loan for six months to West Brom not with the results he wanted, but, nevertheless, everything is going very well.”
Hopefully Vela has come back a better player from his loan at West Brom even if he only managed to score two goals in eight appearances for the Baggies.
Arsenal are in need of another striker this coming season to help take the load off Van Persie. Many new players have been linked with us but we could just save ourselves a couple of millions if we rather try get the best out of Vela this coming season.

Carlos Vela is still a striker in the works. Not ready to replace RVP incase of injury. Get a quality striker to plug the hole and stop hoping for miracles from Vela. Period
“only” 2 goals in 8 appearances, but most of those were from the bench. If you take the goals:minutes for this kid since he joined arsenal I’ll bet only van persie is better in our squad.

Yes, of course, a guy who can’t get off the bench at West Brom (and whom isn’t wanted by them) is Arsenal’s answer at striker. Arsenal’s closer to relegation than any title. Arsenal supporters need to revolt. Leeds, Ipswich, Leyton Orient, Huddersfield…small-minded club.

Well, if we sign some defenders then as a first priority, then I don’t see why Vela shouldn’t be given a shot. As the article says, we are looking for someone to support Van Persie, not replace him.
