“We don’t have to sell him”

talkSPORT spoke exclusively to Blackburn manager Steve Kean and the Rovers boss has said that they are under no pressure to sell Samba.

“We don’t have to sell him,” said Kean. “He signed a five-year contract in the last window. He’s one of the players we would like keep.

“I said earlier this year you are always going to have interest in your good players. It means they’re playing well and you’re playing well as a team. We’re going to try and hold on to all our good players.”

Blackburn may not want to sell Samba but I am pretty sure if the player himself says that he wants to leave Rovers and join Arsenal then the club would be forced to sell him. I guess the ball is now in Samba’s court and if he wants to join Arsenal he will be the one to initiate the move.
