Reports in The Express as saying that Arsene Wenger hopes to complete the signing of Gervinho from Lille this weekend for £10.6?million. This will be our first major signing of the summer and I personally feel it is a good one.
A new striker is just what we need and getting in someone with a fairly high profile is better than pinning our hopes on a 17 year old striker.
Signing Gervinho will also get those players who want to leave Arsenal to start thinking. Many players want to see new players join them and they should not be complaining at all about getting Gervinho. I am sure more players are going to arrive at Arsenal this summer.
