Arsenal’s hunt for a new centre back is set to continue as Serbian international, Neven Subotic has said he will not be leaving Borussia Dortmund this summer according to talkSPORT.
Subotic is a highly rated central defender who Arsenal have been keeping an eye on for some time now. Being only 22 years old but having accomplished so much already, he would have been a perfect addition to the Arsenal backline which according to Wenger needs taller players.
Subotic’s agent Stephen Kelly confirmed his client will remain in Dortmund. “Neven will not be leaving Dortmund this summer, I am certain. He is happy there and has a very good contract, one that expires in 2014,” he said.
So that rules Subotic out so our focus must continue to be on the likes of Samba and Cahill now.
