Reports in The Mirror are suggesting that Arsenal are ready to step up their chase for Lille winger Eden Hazard with a £20million offer this week. Hazard is one of Europe’s hottest prospects and is being target by many clubs including Liverpool.
Lille are reluctant to sell Hazard as they need him for next season especially if they have really let Gervinho join Arsenal. They would not be willing to lose two of their star players all at once.
If Wenger is set to make a move for Hazard that could signal that Wenger has accepted that Nasri will leave the club this summer and Hazard would be the perfect replacement for him. Whether Wenger is really capable of splashing out £20million on a 20 year old who has not been tested in the Premier League waits to be seen.
