Arsenal are set to sell some players first before they start bringing them in. Bendtner is set to leave this summer and following hot behind him out the Emirates door is Gael Clichy. The French left-back is on Liverpool’s wanted list as they desperately need to sign a left-back.

For me, losing Clichy will not be a big loss. Yes, Clichy has come along very well in leaps and bounds under Wenger but his form has dipped over the last couple of months. Clichy has made a lot of mistakes in the last 3 seasons and I can not see him getting any better. I would actually prefer to see Gibbs get more of a run in the team next season at left-back.

Considering that Wenger signed Clichy for next to nothing from Cannes, selling him for £5million would be a great deal for Arsenal.

What do you think? Is selling Clichy to Liverpool a good idea?

  1. yeah sell him, we’ve got eboue and he can play there. Bendtner how ever should stay without out a doubt, one of the most under rate player I’ve ever seen! Give him faith!
