A new name has been thrown into the ring with regards to Arsenal’s search for a new striker. So far big names of been linked with Arsenal such as Benzema and Higuian but none of those seem likely to come to Arsenal and they may prove to be too expensive for Wenger. So now Arsene has been linked with a cheaper option in the form of West Brom’s hit man Peter Odemwingie.
Odemwingie caught Wenger’s eye during both Premier League clashes against the Baggies last season, which saw the Midlands club take four points – including a 3-2 win at the Emirates. Odemwinge could cost Arsenal around £4million as he only has one year left on his current West Brom deal.
Odemwingie’s 15 league goals last season virtually kept West Brom in the Premiership and if we could get a return like that from a £4million investment then that would be a great piece of business.
