As Arsenal’s search for a new experienced goalkeeper continues, one keeper that we had been linked to in that past that will not be joining us is Juventus’ Gianluigi Buffon.
The Italy No1 has been linked with a summer switch to the Gunners and Roma, but has now confirmed his intention to stay with Juventus.
The 33-year-old said: “I never felt dumped by the club, as I’m sure they would have told me first.
“However, there was a point in the season when I did wonder whether we could continue to work together. But then the recent statements confirmed their faith in me.”
So the search continues!
