Finally Arsenal are in the hunt for a new central defender following the poor showing of some of our current defenders last season.
Arsene Wenger has put in an £8million bid for Blackburns Chris Samba. Samba seems likely to leave Rovers this summer after the team just avoided relegation.
Some fans may not think Samba is the high profile signing we need but I am happy with this move as it means we get a player who already has Premier League experience and we do not have to rely on these players coming from outside the league who need time to adjust to the nature of the game in England.
