Arsenal can forget about signing Karim Benzema next season as the French striker has decided to stay at Real Madrid. Benzema has scored 23 goals in 60 league games since moving to Spain from Lyon two years ago.
He struggled to hold down a regular starting spot under Real boss Jose Mourinho at the beginning of this season but of late he has been featuring for the Madrid team.
Arsenal have been linked with a move for Benzema this week but that speculation has now been squashed by Benzema himself as he said: “I do not think Real Madrid want to sell. Mourinho is confident in me. Next season you will see the best from Benzema.”
I guess we have to continue looking elsewhere for a striker now.
