Striker will not be leaving Arsenal

|

Marouane Chamakh has no plans to leave Arsenal this summer despite his poor debut season at the Emirates. Much was expect of Chamakh when he decided to join Arsenal ahead of Liverpool.

The Morocco international made a fantastic start to life in the Premier League after his summer move from Bordeaux, scoring 10 goals in the first half of the season but it seemed to go downhill for him from then on by only scoring once since Christmas – against League One Leyton Orient in the FA Cup – and admitted he was feeling burnt-out in February.

“I have no intention of leaving Arsenal now,” he Chamakh told French radio station RMC.

“If I ever leave the Gunners it would be for a return to French football with Bordeaux – not Marseille.

“But I’ve only had one year at Arsenal and still have a lot to offer this club.”
