Now do not get too excited, Arsenal have not gone out and signed Xavi and Iniesta but they have managed to capture two of Barcelona’s hottest young talents.
Barcelona starlets Jon Toral and Hector Bellerin have left their ‘Cadet’ squad and decide that their futures will be best served in London with the Gunners. Clearly Barcelona are not happy that Arsenal have taken their two 16 year old stars, just like we did with Cesc Fabregas.
Arsenal agreed a deal for central midfielder Toral – who has an English mother – earlier in the year and they have now followed that up by finalising a deal for the equally highly-rated Bellerin. Bellerin who is a young forward, had offers from Manchester United, Chelsea and Aston Villa but he instead opted to move to Arsenal, a path a number of players have now opted to take when leaving Barcelona.
Well done Arsene for signing these two young talents but now please go out and sign some top class players who are ready for the first team right now!
