Swansea City’s march to the Emirates this upcoming Monday could be made far less difficult, as it appears Arsenal frontman, Danny Welbeck, may miss the match with an inflamed knee.

Welbeck, who was also missing in action in last weekend’s victory over Hull, has had a whale of a time overcoming a knee issue that forced him out of training all of last week.

According to Aresene Wegner, Welbeck didn’t even make the treck to KC Stadium for the match against Hull.

While it appears that Welbeck’s injury is not a long-term issue, they would benefit from having him available as they attempt to run down Manchester City for the second position in the standings.

With a big match against Manchester United, along with an FA Cup final showdown against Aston Villa looming in the next few weeks, Wenger will likely exercise patience with Welbeck in an effort to get him back to feeling fully fit again.
