Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has admitted that Alexis Sanchez would have been “perfect” for his side.

Despite that, the Merseyside club couldn’t beat Arsenal to his signature and will be regretting not doing so very much after how well Alexis has acclimatised to the Premier League.

With a wonderful level of technical ability along with an impeccable work ethic, Sanchez is not too dissimilar to Luis Suarez. So it’s no surprise that Rodgers is now willing to admit how perfect the Chilean would have been.

“He’s a world class player, he was identified as someone to come in who would be perfect for us. Brilliant player, outstanding quality, even bigger work-rate” said Rodgers speaking in his pre-match press conference.

You have to wonder with the money made on Suarez why he didn’t go for someone so “perfect” but that’s Arsenal’s gain. With 13 goals in just 21 appearances for the Gunners, Sanchez is perfect for Arsenal too.
