Following the shock result against Liverpool on Saturday where the Gunners went down 5-1, it is fair to say that we are still a few players short in our squad. What hurts me the most is that during the January transfer window, we were in a perfect position to strengthen our squad and go on a serious push to win the title. But Arsene Wenger made NO major signings and only brought in an old injured striker in Kim Kallstrom.

February was dubbed the make or break month for Arsenal this season and so far we have gotten off to a very bad start.

Now with the January transfer window gone, reports are now already linking Arsenal with a summer move for Manchester City midfielder Gareth Barry according to the Express.

Barry is currently on loan to Everton for the season and has been playing very well there so it is no surprise that a player of his quality is being linked with Arsenal. One may say that we do not need anymore central midfielders but we actually do need a holding midfielder of his quality. We currently have Arteta, Flamini, Ramsey and Wilshere filling in there but if you look at Arteta, that is not his natural position and Flamini is getting on in age. Yes Barry may be 32-years old but he is certainly showing a higher degree of football than Arteta and Flamini this season.

Considering that Barry would be joining for free, it is worth the gamble for Wenger to take in bringing in the Manchester City man.

Its was a disapponting result at Liverpool but all the blame goes to our own manager who failed to get the alternative formular of play incase the old one failed. secondly he did not even make any major signing in January window. i guess he is confortably with fourth position always
