No wonder Arsenal are the biggest English club on Twitter, we do some very cool things on social media which very few clubs do. On Tuesday, Arsenal ran #AskArsene where the fans got to tweet questions to the Arsenal manager via Twitter and he responded as best as he could.

One interesting question that was asked was about Jack Wilshere’s best position. We have seen him play several positions already for the club, more recently on the left side on midfield where he looks out of sort in my opinion. By Wenger gave us the answer:

I could not agree more with Wenger. Wilshere is best when he is in the middle of the field and distributing the ball coupled with making bursting runs up and down the field. Wenger has recently been playing with Arteta and Flamini in the middle and the two have been doing well but I feel it is time now for the Wilshere on the left experiment to end and we see him replace one of Arteta or Flamini.

I also definitely agree, Flamini just infront of the back four as more of a DMC then Wilshere in the middle of midfield is a great combo.

I agre but that is also ramseys best position. What is really required is to get our 2 best 5 man midfields fully fit so that we can rotate all five at once. For example arteta ramsey walcott ozil rosicky as one midfield and flamini wilshire chamberlain cazorla podolski as an alternative. For me it doesnt matter who is in which five as long as they play in their best positions. Even the back up 50 of frimpong diaby gnabry zelalem and ryo is not so sad for a third choice and lets not forget we stil have coquelin yenaris hayden toral olsson eisfeld campbell aneke jeffrey and welington

Agree that his best position is deep CM. But assume that we need a defensive midfielder then where does Ramsey fit in as he is just as ineffective out wide. It’s a good problem to have and perhaps shows that we have more depth in the squad than we’re given credit for!
