Monday Rumour: Kalou arrives in London for talks with Arsenal

Jan 09, 12 Monday Rumour: Kalou arrives in London for talks with Arsenal

There has been a lot of talk today (Monday) about Arsenal making a move for out of favour Chelsea star Salomon Kalou. The striker is currently away on Africa Cup of Nations duty with Ivory Coast but there are reports today that he has been allowed to leave the camp by Ivory Coast so that he can go tie up a deal with Arsenal ahead of a £3million move.

The 26-year-old Kalou would be a great addition to the Arsenal squad in my opinion. He really has not been given that many chances by Chelsea but when he has been asked to play he has delivered: 58 goals in 135 starts is not bad at all.

We need some more fire-power upfront for Arsenal to help Van Persie with the goals. Kalou may not be your fox in the box striker that many fans are calling out for but he will do well to link up with Van Persie and Gervinho.

  1. Too Similar to Gerinvho, however Kalou can finish Gervinho can’t. Don’t know why we need him we need a creative midfielder. Gourcuff would have been the ideal buy. Diaby is a thorn in Arsenal at the moment it is for him that Arsenal hasn’t bought Gourcuff yet.

  2. Podolski is indeed world class. But Torres was 2, luk wat he is doin 4 chelsea. Was Ba sum1 u wud av ask 2 b signd last season. So it ain’t just clas we nid sum1 who wil die 4 the team so kalou is a gud bye if he wil give 150%. Luk at Henry aging but bangin a goal, if he can bang den y not.
