Monday Rumour: Kalou arrives in London for talks with Arsenal
There has been a lot of talk today (Monday) about Arsenal making a move for out of favour Chelsea star Salomon Kalou. The striker is currently away on Africa Cup of Nations duty with Ivory Coast but there are reports today that he has been allowed to leave the camp by Ivory Coast so that he can go tie up a deal with Arsenal ahead of a £3million move.
The 26-year-old Kalou would be a great addition to the Arsenal squad in my opinion. He really has not been given that many chances by Chelsea but when he has been asked to play he has delivered: 58 goals in 135 starts is not bad at all.
We need some more fire-power upfront for Arsenal to help Van Persie with the goals. Kalou may not be your fox in the box striker that many fans are calling out for but he will do well to link up with Van Persie and Gervinho.

ARSENAL CAN DO BETTER. A lot better. But they are so greedy they will not spend money for a better goal scorer. What about Demba Ba? HE HAS A £10M GET OUT CLAUSE. Even if the Demba camp and Newcastle agree I do not think Arsenal will part with £10m. Miserly Wenger has already said that for this window he is only looking at extremely cheap options.

I really dont buy d idea of buying kalou! All we need someone that has d fire power upfront who could do well as Van persie. The goal are drying up! I urge Wenger to act now before it is too late. £10m is not too much for Ba neither is £12m too much for Podolski!!!

for me kalou will be better striker than demba ba because he has tested himself in top team both in premier league and champion league, do you think ba will perform like this in top team? I doubt it.

Kalou will be a very good signing for us. I wonder why everyone is crying for Podolski. What will happen if he get to England and become another Chamak or Park?
I think Ba will be a better deal than Podolski. Premiership is not Bundersliga.
Kalou and Ba will be more than enough upfront. We need a creative midfielder such as Hazard to give the necessary supply upfront and one dependable right footed CB. Kos is good but we need someone else for support. I know with the current improvement of Kyle, it might be difficult for Wenger to sign another CB but Kyle is on a season loan and we might not be able to recall him now.

Compared to Ashavin or even Walcott, I would take Kalou any day of the week. He can beat defenders, link up well and finally he can score unlike the above mentioned individuals. My only gripe is that this ia another barrier for Chamberlain
who should be let loose on Premiership. How that would work in way reminiscent of 17 year old Anelka.

I’d pick Kalou ahead of Arshavin, but this is typical Wenger. Trying to get someone on the cheap, even though we have £50 million plus in the bank. We should be in for Ba or Podolski and show some real ambition.

Pls my pple what is Theo Wallcot doing in that team ahead of Chamberlin we are done with all this flops ,all Wallcot knows is to sprint and runing with no mission is a waste no sence on him at all,but take a look at OXLADE CHAMBERLIN HE as the pace, skills very determined he wlll always tourment the defence line of the opponent Why is this boy on the bench.

To start with I wasn’t sure about Kalou but to be honest an average of almost a goal every 2 games is very good for a player that rarely starts a game. He will adapt quickly and will definitely be able to play in the Premiership. Podolski can be excellent but he flopped completely at Bayern so his purchase would not be without risk. Demba Ba might be an excellent buy but is used to being the main man wherever he has played. The thing with Kalou is that you get a player who is used to exactly the role that he’ll get at Arsenal and has done well. Despite all this the question remains where has our money gone and when will we see some of the profits being spent ? It’s a simple fact that while the club profits every year while failing to win a trophy we as fans will feel cheated.
Kalou is not our solution y can we pay qualities players like other team than always going for out use chelsea,man u,man city and others players.its a shame wenger

Its fucking crazy how some so called fans slate park. How many games has he played for arsenal? yet you keep slating him with chamack. had he got the playing time that chamack got, would he not have performed better? The fact that wenger ain’t use him doesn’t mean he ain’t good or why is wenger not using chamberlain too? is it because he ain’t good? grow up and apply some common sense before opening your stinking mouths.

Up gunners.atleast we hav seen kalou in action in the past few years and his displays agains arsenal especially demba ba just a half season and u think we should rather sign him rather than kalou.kalou has premier league,champions league,f.a cup,carling cup xperience.come on kalou in u we trust.one
Two things………if the prices if Kalou was 20 million,some people would be happier than they are when he’s 3 million simply because they want Wenger to spend money…….work that out!!!!!
