Friday Rumour: Arsenal close in on Manchester City defender
Arsenal are desperately short on defensive options right now and The Metro is reporting that we may be ready to sign out of favour Manchester City defender Wayne Bridge on loan for the rest of the season.
Bridge has fallen down the pecking order at City and the 31-year-old defender is looking for a new club.
Without Thomas Vermaelen, Bacary Sagna, Carl Jenkinson, Kieran Gibbs and Andre Santos through injury, Bridge may prove to be a good short term signing for Arsenal.
We have struggled in the left-back position this season and having someone with the experience of Bridge could benefit us.

Buying will be the best option. We should have a young talented guy like song who can play very agressive game like song at the back
i would offer to buy both him and onouha. both are homegrown and could help us right out, i reckon £3m will sort it. then i would go for hoilet, tomkins and jordan rhodes all proven in england.
that would fill our 4 remaining home grown slots. to free up room on our foreign quota for henry and hoilet i would sell almunia, fabianski and squillaci then buy/loan a decent back up keeper he could be foreign or homegrown, how about mcgregor, harper or cudicini?

Your all mad, Bridge is overrated, overpaid and hasn’t played a game since the turn of the millennium. Hardly going to just slot right in, he might be match fit by Easter.
I don’t see Wenger buying anyone till the summer. Don’t forget we still have loads of dead wood on the books. Bendtner, Denilson are on loan, Squillaci, Almunia and Chammak have to go and I am afraid my patience has finally run out with Abu Diaby. I can’t see us keeping Benayoun after the end of the season either. It’s also debatable whether Rosicky and Arsharvin are worth keeping much longer.
Now that’s a lot of dead wood. 9 out and hopefully a top striker, a really good creative midfielder and a winger in, I would also like to see another central defender but think it’s probably unlikely.
If it means signing any left full back wenger should go for taiwo not bridge.
Instead of bridge, arsene wenger should buy taiye taiwo. Gunner 4 life.

Taiwo cud be beta,bt he hasnt playd up to 6 matches 4 milan maybe match rusty too,moreova he’s cuptied 4 CL and may also lack EPL xperience. a loan move 4 anyoda player is hard. so bridge is kinda ideal.
